The group began in 1982 in the Mathematics Department and now resides in the Biology Department. Some of the current research deals with the statistical analysis of microarray data, protein-protein functional prediction combining different sources of biological data and genomic polymorphism survey of Arabidopsis. Our research is supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation, as well as private foundations such as Keck School of Medicine. In fall 2003 we were awarded a Center of Excellence in Genomic Science (CEGS) grant by The National Human Genome Research Institute to establish a center that will develop faster ways to identify genes that cause disease. In summer 2005 we moved into our new building on the USC Campus, RRI at 1050 Childs Way.
